By car
Coming from Germany, you can reach Zermatt by taking the autobahn A5 from Karlsruhe in the direction of Basel. Continue towards Berne and Spiez. Here you should leave the autobahn and take the road to the car shuttle service (Autoverlad) at Kandersteg. After leaving the car shuttle in Goppenstein, drive to Visp, where you will be able to pass through the tunnel into Vispertal and then take the road to Täsch (just 5km from Zermatt). Alternatively you can also take the route past Berne and via Lake Geneva to Visp, thus avoiding the car shuttle. A variety of car parks are available in Täsch, on the left-hand side of the entrance to the town. Shuttle taxis will then bring you direct to car-free Zermatt just 5km away. Upon request, we shall be pleased to reserve a parking space for you. In addition, passenger trains leave for Zermatt every 20 minutes. Upon request, our reception desk staff info@la.ginabelle.ch will be pleased to provide you with details of approach routes or railway timetables. |
