Anticipation of the Resort La Ginabelle

With us you will spend your wellness and active vacations at the foot of the Matterhorn in the southwest of Switzerland - in the German-speaking part of the canton of Valais, where the Alps connect Switzerland and Italy.

In the quiet and centrally located wellness and family Resort La Ginabelle Zermatt, everyday life is far away and nature is close. In only 2 minutes you can reach the mountain railroad and the valley slope is also only 2 minutes away from the resort. You can reach the village center in less than 10 minutes with a short walk. Zermatt offers a variety of activities. In summer for example the hiking area Sunnegga - Blauherd - Rothorn and in winter the Matterhorn Ski Paradise, one of the biggest and best skiing areas in the world. Here you can even ski all year round - in summer the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is the highest snow sports area in Europe.

Reaching Zermatt by Car

If you want to drive to our Resort La Ginabelle, you need to know that no cars are allowed in the village of Zermatt. However, the nearby village Täsch offers parking spaces and shuttle services up to Zermatt 24/7.

There are many parking houses in Täsch to choose from. We recommend our partner “Taxi Fredy” who provides visitors with a parking & shuttle service for a fair price. If you do not want to book one of the parking house's shuttle services, you can also take the shuttle train up to Zermatt which leaves every 15 minutes during high season. If you wish, we will be happy to help organize your arrival and facilitate your journey to Zermatt.

Once you arrive in Zermatt, we will happily pick you up from the train station with our electric shuttle bus between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Pick-up service may be booked in advance via mail or telephone.

Arrival to Täsch:

Coming from the north, drive via Basel - Bern - Spiez to the Lötschberg car transport in Goppenstein. Afterward taking the car transport, drive in the direction of Visp and later Täsch.
Coming from Geneva, drive to Visp and then follow the above route.
The same applies if you come from the south via Simplon, alternatively by car transport, to Visp.
Coming from the east we recommend, despite the fact that the route is often described differently due to different navigation systems, to drive via Zurich - Bern - Goppenstein instead of via Chur.

Reaching Zermatt by Train

For guests coming from Switzerland, who enjoy travelling by train and would like to use this mode of transportation for their arrival to Zermatt, we recommend visiting the website of SBB to book your tickets. → SBB

For guests who live outside of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, we recommend the following low-priced train travel options:

Swiss Transfer Ticket from all Swiss border stations and airports to Zermatt from CHF 182.00 in 2nd class return, or CHF 266.00 in 1st class
Children under 6 years of age travel free of charge when accompanied by at least one parent having a Swiss Transfer Ticket.
In addition to the Swiss Transfer Ticket, you can request the free Swiss Family Card, with which children under 16 travel free of charge when accompanied by at least one parent having a Swiss Transfer Ticket.
All non-residents of Switzerland and Liechtenstein are entitled to purchase a Swiss Transfer Ticket.

Reaching Zermatt by Plane

The nearest airports are:

Geneva Airport (approx. 3 hours away)
Milan Airport (approx. 3 hours away)
Zürich Airport (approx. 3 ½ hours away)

From whichever airport you arrive, we recommend taking the train for the rest of your journey to Zermatt. From 8:00 AM until 7:00 PM, you can benefit from our free pick-up service bringing you from Zermatt train station to the Resort.
