Until 9 years old, children can use the ski lifts for free. The Gornergrat train is free for children under 6 in summer. If you have the Junior or Enkel card of the SBB, kids under 15 can take the train for free if there are with a responsible adult.

Families and children activities in summer
Happiness for everyone:
- Riddle: Family outing with the Gornergrat train and a mystery game to find the missing glacier fleas, with “Wolli and the climate detectives”. The audio guide and the Quiz are provided for free at the tourism office of Zermatt (in exchange of a security deposited). For more information
- Adventure park: Ziplined, suspension bridge and much more await you at Forest Fun Park!
- Sport: Have fun on a trampoline, or while playing beach volleyball, football and basketball or even at the skate park.
- Ice sculptures: Go visit the highest ice palace in the world at 3883m.
- Mini golf: Show Wollis how good you are at golf.
- Whistle concert: Embark on the Murmel path at listen to the Marmots whistle.
- Have a swim: Go have a swim on the Zermatt “beach” at 2232m high. You will also find the Wollis adventure park with its playground.
- Helicopter: Go visit the air-base called AIR Zermatt and admirer all those helicopters.
- History: fascinating stories on the Matterhorn and the life of the villagers at the Museum of the Matterhorn Zermattlandis.
- Cable car: Come and admire the bridge of the Cable car of Zermatt AG
- About cheese: demonstration of the making of cheese in the cheese shop.
- Playground: You will find in Zermatt several playgrounds, at La Ginabelle you have the Pumuckel kids Club.

Summer Wollis pass
Wolli, the young cheap with a black nose is the mascot of Zermatt and of all the children. In the Summertime, Wolli suggest to take the Summer Wolli Pass and offers a supervised program for children from 6 to 12 years old. Thereby, a perfectional team undertakes, Monday through Friday, various outings with the children who are sighed up.
What the children need: Wolli pass, that is always available for five days (Monday through Friday) and can be bought at the tourism office of Zermatt.

Sledging:
You can take a sledging slope from Furi to Zermatt. For more information
From Rotenboden (Gornergrat Train) to Riffelberg there is the highest sledging slope in Switzerland available, 1,5km long. To go back to the starting point at Rotenboden, you can take the train.
